In this study, it was aimed to review the information about the turan semâîsi usl and update this information. This study is a qualitative research and it was carried out by archive / document scanning method (Saldamlı, 2016). According to this: it has been determined that only M. Hurşit Ungay mentioned the turan semâîsi method and there is no information about this method in other sources. Ungay (1981) performed the turan semâîsi method by Dr. That Cahit Öney arranged it; He states that the usl is formed by combining 17 beats, 11 strokes, one dev-i hindî and one aksak semâî usl; acem-aşiran maqam and Dr. He gives an example of a children's song composed by Cahit Öney. As a result of our analysis of the work given as an example of the Turan semâîsi method, the work has a method formed by combining 17 times, 9 strokes, one dev-i turan (7/8) and one curcuna (10/8); Therefore, it has been determined that the information given by Ungay (1981) about the procedure is partially incorrect. The method has been redefined in the light of this information, and all information regarding the method has been updated by rewriting the strokes on the portal. In order to increase the number of sample works for the Turan semâîsi usl, a play atmosphere in the Hicaz makam. It was composed by Hanefi Özbek and the score of the work has been added to this article. In this study, it was concluded that reviewing the information about Turkish Music theory through the turan semâîsi method would be a necessary and useful study for Turkish Music theory and education.
