BAUHAUS ECOLE AND ITS REFLECTIONS ON GRAPHIC DESIGN


Bauhaus School, which was established as an art and design school in Germany as a result of the deterioration of economic conditions after World War I, has decisive effects on the course of every field of art since its establishment. As a result of the examination of the history and education understanding of the Bauhaus School, the effects of periodic conditions on society's expectations from art and design can be clearly seen. Bauhaus School, which has kept a creativity based on functionality and functionality at its center; it represents a school in the fields of art and design. Founded in 1955, State School of Applied Fine Arts was the first reflection of this ecole in Turkey. The institution, which continues its education as Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts today, represents the Bauhaus School in all departments and at every stage of education. The main purpose of this study is to relate the ecole, whose effects are observed in all fields of art, with the graphic design field within the framework of its main objectives and to reveal its reflections in this field. The establishment of tertiary institutions in Turkey, the first extension of the school's faculty and conversion process, and can be seen in common with college education in schools is important for the development of higher perception. Bauhaus Ecole in this direction; "Bauhaus Art and Design School" has been examined under separate titles as "State School of Applied Fine Arts”. With the data obtained under these headings, under the heading "Bauhaus Ecole and Graphic Design Relationship", their contributions to the field of graphic design and education are mentioned, and in the conclusion part, the reflections of the Bauhaus Ecole in the field of graphic design are specified in all aspects.
