MASK AND ART AS A COMMUNICATION TOOL


The mask-mask used in pre-cultures to consince the other party that the chosen person has a lavent power in defferent societies in terms of belief and lifestyle, creates a suprising effect on the individual. However, it was used to hide and dissuade fears of its enemies. The mask is the first handmade accessory design in human history, especially attached to the face of the body.

 

In every culture, color, pattern, material healing, scare, protection, the mask used as entertainment, esthetics, power, fetish has been a cultural indicator of many changes and developments over time. The unique properties of cultures in geographies have been the subject of the stories of the existence of societies in which they are reflected in their disguise, as seen in their lifestyles.

 

The background image of mask which has become a symbol of mystical rituals, death and postmortem ceremonies, festival and celebrations is an inspiration for interacting among cultures, visual arts and artists. The mask, which is a link between the other world and reality and complementary to fashion, is a communication tool, although it is only in fun today. The purpose of this paper is to explain on the conceptual evaluation of the while representing a single element in all of the visual arts, the mask as an integral part of the costume when appropriate, its use, interaction, social communication, and the meaning of the symbols and images used in its design.
