Designs Directing Human, Space and Brand Interaction

The places we want to reach are the areas that we can define with certain coordinates. We can exemplify the first visual examples that provide this interaction in the historical process as maps. Maps, which are an information system, are a tool that guides people in finding directions and makes invisible information living in the visited area visible. The evolution in information systems with technology basically aims to maximize the user experience. Accordingly, the idea of digitalization has paved the way for the creation of new presentation environments in the act of "finding direction". The post-reality universe, called Metaverse, includes technologies such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) that enable multi-sensory interactions between objects, places and people in virtual environments. In this study, it has been examined how the orientation graphics, which we call information design, are handled in the context of people, places and brands in the Metaverse. The lack of any design guidelines for information designs for the Metaverse constitutes the problem of the research, which is a case study. Within the framework of this problem, how the routing graphics appear or may appear in the Metaverse universe, how they will be perceived, are discussed in the context of design and user experience. By supporting the data obtained from the literature review with examples, it is emphasized how design possibilities can be realized in a new environment related to information design.
