Bu çalışma, Türkiye’de tekstil sanayiinin tarihsel gelişimi, tasarım süreçleri, sanat eğitimi ve özgün uygulamalar bağlamında yaşanan dönüşümleri incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmanın temel konusu, geleneksel el sanatlarından endüstriyel üretime ve günümüzde dijital tasarım uygulamalarına kadar uzanan sürecin ekonomik, kültürel ve eğitimsel boyutlarının birlikte değerlendirilmesidir. Çalışmada literatür taramaları, tarihsel veriler ve uygulamalı pano tasarım örnekleri kullanılmış olup, hem Türkiye’nin sanayileşme sürecine hem de tekstil tasarımındaki yaratıcı yöntemlerin etkisine odaklanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, araştırmada geliştirilen özgün pano tasarımları, çalışmanın yöntemsel boyutunu somutlaştırmakta ve teorik bilgilerin görsel bir anlatım ile desteklenmesini sağlamaktadır. Her tasarım, geleneksel motiflerden esinlenmiş olup, rumi, hatai, penç ve hançer yaprakları gibi süsleme unsurlarıyla çağdaş bir yorum kazanmıştır. Böylece hem geçmişin estetik değerleri hem de modern tasarım anlayışı bir araya getirilmiştir. Araştırmada yer alan dört özgün pano tasarımı, 50x70 cm ölçülerinde kadife paspartu üzerine uygulanmış ve raporlama tekniğiyle tasarlanmıştır. Bu tasarımlar, hem boş ve dolu alanların dengeli kullanımını hem de renk geçişleriyle kadife yüzeyde derinlik ve görsel hareket sağlamayı amaçlamıştır. Araştırmanın bulguları, Türkiye’de tekstil sanayii ve tasarım eğitiminde önemli bir değişim ve gelişim sürecinin yaşandığını göstermektedir. Geleneksel tekniklerin modern üretim ve dijital tasarım yöntemleriyle bütünleşmesi, kültürel mirasın korunmasına, bireysel yaratıcılığın geliştirilmesine ve ekonomik kalkınmanın desteklenmesine katkı sağlamaktadır. Hazırlanan pano tasarımları, biçim, renk ve boşluk kullanımının bilinçli bir düzenleme ile estetik bir bütünlük oluşturduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Bu bağlamda, çalışmanın görsel materyalleri, araştırmanın akademik ve pratik değerini güçlendirmekte ve Türkiye’de tekstil tasarımının güncel uygulamalarını somutlaştırmaktadır. Sonuç olarak, araştırma, tekstil tasarımının hem kültürel değerlerin korunması hem de modern tasarım anlayışının geliştirilmesi açısından kritik bir rol oynadığını göstermektedir.
This study aims to examine the transformations experienced within the context of the historical development of the textile industry in Turkey, design processes, art education, and unique applications. The research's primary focus is a joint evaluation of the economic, cultural, and educational dimensions of the process, extending from traditional handicrafts to industrial production and current digital design applications. The study utilizes literature reviews, historical data, and practical panel design examples, focusing on both Turkey's industrialization process and the impact of creative methods in textile design. In this context, the original panel designs developed in the study embody the study's methodological dimension and support theoretical knowledge with visual narrative. Each design, inspired by traditional motifs, is given a contemporary interpretation through decorative elements such as rumi, hatai, penç, and dagger leaves. This brings together both the aesthetic values of the past and the modern design approach. The four original panel designs included in the study were applied to 50x70 cm velvet mats and designed using the reporting technique. These designs aimed to balance the use of empty and filled spaces, while also creating depth and visual movement on the velvet surface through color transitions. The findings of the research demonstrate that the textile industry and design education in Turkey are undergoing significant change and development. The integration of traditional techniques with modern production and digital design methods contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage, the development of individual creativity, and the support of economic development. The prepared panel designs demonstrate that the conscious arrangement of form, color, and space creates an aesthetic unity. In this context, the study's visual materials strengthen the academic and practical value of the research and embody contemporary textile design practices in Turkey. Ultimately, the research demonstrates that textile design plays a critical role in both preserving cultural values and developing a modern design approach.
