Türk müziği terminolojisinin kaynağına ulaşmak istenildiğinde kendimizi, 1000 yılı aşkın bir zaman bölümünden günümüze ulaşan uzun bir yol içerisinde buluruz. Böyle köklü bir yapının da muhakkak zengin bir altyapısının olması gerekir. Ve bu altyapı da yüzyıllar içerisinde şekillenerek günümüze ulaşmıştır. Bu yapının temel taşları, uzun zaman içerisinde kademe kademe gelişerek bir bütünlüğe erişmiş değerler manzumesidir. Tarihte, ilimler bünyesindeki terminolojinin, dönemler içerisinde farklı ifade ediliş şekillerine şahit olunur. Bu durum, terminolojinin dönemlere göre de değişebileceğini ve hatta bir terimin çeşitli zaman dilimi içerisinde değişik anlamlarla ifade edildiğini de göstermiştir. Pek çok örnek arasında meselâ “îkâ’ ” terimine tarih içerisinde farklı anlamlar verildiğini ve Osmanlı Dönemi’nin sonu ile Cumhuriyet’in ortalarına kadar da “usûl”ün karşılığı olarak kullanıldığını görmekteyiz. Bu durumda tarihî gelişimi göz önüne alınarak müzik terminolojisinde, ciddi araştırmaların yapılması gerçeği ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu bildiride Türk Müziği terminolojisindeki sorunlar ve bunların çözümü ile ilgili öneriler sunulacaktır.
When we want to reach the source of Turkish music terminology, we find ourselves in a long way that has reached the present day from more than 1000 years. Such a well-established structure must have a rich infrastructure. And this infrastructure has reached the present day after being shaped over the centuries. The cornerstones of this building are a set of values that have gradually developed over a long period of time and reached a unity. In history, different expressions of the terminology within the sciences are witnessed in periods. This situation showed that the terminology can also change according to the periods and even that a term is expressed with different meanings in various time periods. Among many examples, for example, we see that the term "ikâ" has different meanings throughout history and it was used as the equivalent of "usûl" until the end of the Ottoman Period and the middle of the Republic. In this case, taking into account the historical development of music terminology, the reality of serious research is emerging. In this paper, problems in Turkish Music terminology and suggestions for their solutions will be presented.
