Sanat eserleri taşıdıkları sanatsal kaygıların yanında üretildikleri dönemlerden sosyolojik, dinsel ve toplumsal olaylardan izler de yansıtır. Resim sanatı bu olayların ve olguların yansıtıldığı bir sanat dalı olarak farklı dönemlerden birçok örnek barındırmaktadır. İnsanların çevrelerini ve yaşam biçimlerini yansıttıkları mağara resimlerinden başlayarak günümüze gelen görsel anlatım serüveninde oldukça zengin anlatım biçimleri barındıran eserler vardır. Bu eserlerde toplumlardan, yaşam biçimlerinden, kıyafetlerinden, şehirlerinden yansıtılan izlerin yanı sıra toplumu derinden etkileyen olayların anlatıldığı sahnelere sıkça rastlanmaktadır. Bir resim sayfalarca yazıdan çok daha fazla duygu ve düşünceyi çok daha kısa sürede anlatabilir. Resim artık farklı bir görsel dil halini alır. Resim sanatı işte bu yönüyle yaşanmışlıkları bir tablo vasıtasıyla tasvir etme fırsatı sunar. Toplumsal vicdanın oluşumu düşünüldüğünde de toplumu etkileyen olaylar ve olguların oldukça önemli olduğu görülmektedir. Toplumu etkileyen ve iz bırakan olayların sanat yoluyla toplum tarafından nasıl algılandığı ve anlaşıldığı da önemlidir.

Bu çalışmada toplumu etkileyen ve iz bırakan olayların yansıtıldığı resimlerden seçilen örnekler incelenerek sanatın toplumsal vicdan üzerindeki etkisinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Tarama yöntemiyle yapılan çalışmada literatüre dayalı olarak elde edilen bulgular derlenerek, toplumun bu eserlerden nasıl etkilendiği tartışılmıştır. Sonuç olarak toplumun etkilendiği önemli olaylar ve olguların sanat eserlerinde nasıl vurgulandığı ve toplumun bu eserlerden nasıl etkilendiği toplumsal vicdan çerçevesinde değerlendirilerek önerilere yer verilmiştir.

In addition to the artistic concerns they carry, works of art also reflect traces of sociological, religious and social events from the periods in which they were produced. The art of painting as a branch of art reflecting these events and phenomena contains many examples from different periods. Starting from the cave paintings in which people reflect their environment and life styles, there are works that contain very rich expression styles in the visual expression adventure that has come to the present day. In these works, scenes in which traces reflected from societies, lifestyles, clothes, cities, as well as events that deeply affect the society are frequently encountered. A picture can express more emotions and thoughts in a much shorter time than pages of writing. Painting now becomes a different visual language. With this aspect, the art of painting offers the opportunity to depict the experiences through a painting. Considering the formation of the social conscience, it is seen that the events and facts affecting the society are very important. It is also important how the events that affect the society and leave their mark are perceived and understood by the society through art.

In this study, it is aimed to determine the effect of art on social conscience by examining the samples selected from the pictures that reflect the events that affect society and leave traces. In the study conducted with the screening method, the findings obtained based on the literature were compiled and how the society was affected by these works was discussed. As a result, how important events and facts affected by society are emphasized in works of art and how society is affected by these works are evaluated within the framework of social conscience and suggestions are included.
